This event is getting better each year. See ice carvers creating
over 20 sculptures in various downtown Coldwater locations.
The carvers are professionals with approximately 50 years
of carving experience between them. In addition to the ice
carvings, there will be a Chili Cook-off (where your special
recipe will be tasted by a panel of judges and prizes for
the first three places). Click here for rules. New this year will be a Chili Tasting Competition featuring downtown restaurant/pubs. Get a card at Coldwater Executive Suites (28 W. Chicago) for only $5 and visit 7 downtown establishments taste the chili, select the best tasting and then fill out your name, address and telephone number, drop card back in box at Coldwater Executive Suites to be eligible to win a $50 DBA gift certificate. All proceeds from the tasting will go to DBA special events. Kids are not to be forgotten at this year’s event. There will be lots for kids from ages 3 to 13 to do on the 26th. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., come build/design a sculpture at Education Station (42 W. Chicago). And then at 1 p.m. at Education Station come watch Happy Feet in the upper level. Don’t miss meeting Michigan author Mike DiLorenzo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Taylor’s Books and More at 60 W. Chicago Street. He will be signing his latest book Adventures with Johnny Ice Fishing.
